JCC of Mid-Westchester Announces Annual Gala for May 22 at Old Oaks Country Club

Annual Gala will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, 7:00pm at Old Oaks Country Club, Purchase, NY.Β  Ophira Cukierman will receive the Young Leadership Award and Susie Essman will provide entertainment.Β  The evening will include cocktails, buffet dinner (dietary laws observed), raffle, silent auction and dancing. Β 

Β Ms. Cukierman has dedicated her time, energy and talent to the JCC since 2009.Β  She is currently on the Board of the JCC and has also served as the PTA President of the JCC Early Childhood Preschool Program since 2010.Β  In addition, she was recently named to the UJA Federation’s Young Trustees Roundtable.Β  Prior to moving to Westchester, she was active with AIPAC and the American Friends of the Philharmonic.Β  Ms. Cukierman lives in Scarsdale with her husband Joram and their three children Maya, Benji and Coby.Β  Susie Essman plays Susie Greene on the HBO comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm.Β  The Manhattan-based Essman is a veteran of the world of standup comedy and has logged thousands of performances at Carolines and Stand Up NY.Β  In addition, she has numerous appearances in television, film and off-Broadway.

Β β€œThe Gala’s theme, β€œCelebrating Our Revitalization”, highlights the agency’s success over the past year in building bridges and developing new collaborations in the community”, said Karen Spar Kasner, President of the Board. β€œThe JCC of Mid-Westchester is an important community resource that touches the lives of over 20,000 Westchester residents annually.Β  We look forward to celebrating with our supporters on May 22nd and continuing to serve the community by offering new and innovative programs to meet their needs”, said Spar Kasner. Β
