Cre8tor Incubator Offers New Summer Technology Workshops For Kids
An open house with free digital creator workshops will be held on Saturday at their Scarsdale location, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

SCARSDALE, NY — The summer vacation gives students a chance to have some fun and just be kids, but the dreaded "summer slide" is a real concern.
One Westchester business, however, is using their years of expertise to help make sure the time away from the classroom is both fun and enriching, because the fall isn't as far away as it seems right now.
Cre8tor Incubator will be offering new creative technology summer workshops for children this summer that will "spark the imagination of young creatives, providing them with the curriculum and resources they need to safely launch their own YouTube channels."

Workshops will be held every week in July and August. Parents can sign their kids up for one week or for the entire season. Cre8tor Incubator also says they will be offering an afterschool program starting this September.

As part of its open house on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Cre8tor Incubator will be offering complimentary digital creator workshops for kids at their state-of-the-art production facility. Kids (ages 7-14) and their parents will be able to meet the instructors, tour the space, and take part in several hands-on workshops. These workshops will include producing quality content for YouTube, video production/editing, 360 photo booths, and gaming stations. Participants will also be offered a $50 credit towards any summer workshop/afterschool program sign-ups during the open house. Click here to sign up for the workshop.

Cre8tor Incubator says that its summer workshops will offer a unique curriculum with creative and technical activities that will help children master top networks and platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitch, and Meta. Their programs cater to young creators (ages 7-14) at all skill levels, offering three levels of programs: beginner; intermediate, and an advanced program. Students will be able to learn content creation, AI, channel growth, online safety, and best practices. They will be able to work together and become well-rounded in producing quality content. With Cre8tor Incubator’s expert instructors, kids "will be empowered to navigate the digital world confidently, creatively, and most importantly — safely."
Cre8tor Incubator's co-founders Robert DePalma, Matty Kirsch, and Dave Henderson, come from varied professional backgrounds, including film production, creative project management, writing production, live TV show streaming, content production, and technology. As a team, they bring decades of expertise to the youth of the area.
"Their dedication to empowering young people and contributing to the cultural enrichment of our community is truly commendable," Cristina Chianese, President of the Pelham Chamber of Commerce, said. "We look forward to seeing the incredible projects that will come out of Cre8tor Incubator’s programs."
DePalma has directed for major networks like HBO, Kirsch received an Emmy nomination in production for Fortnite, and Henderson has founded numerous successful companies that utilize advanced virtual video and AI.
"Cre8tor Incubator’s summer workshops have been carefully curated to perfectly balance education and entertainment. Children will be able to explore their creativity and learn new skills, including storytelling, visual excellence, technical prowess, sound design, post-production, audience engagement, and strategic distribution. With hands-on experiences in film production to interactive digital media sessions, our workshops will help foster the next wave of producers, directors, and creative minds who will shape the future of the industry," DePalma said.
These programs also tend to draw in children from neighboring towns such as Larchmont, Mamaroneck, Bronxville or Pelham.

"As a parent, I am super excited about this new program for my child who is very curious about the digital world and wants to be a part of social media. Learning new skills and how to use these platforms safely gives me peace of mind," Emily Tuckman, a parent in Westchester, said.
Cre8tor Incubator offers a nut-free food environment, and kids can either pack their lunches or families can sign up for weekly lunch programs for an additional fee.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Mondays through Fridays (except for holidays), with an early drop-off option at 8:30 a.m.
