Former Lord & Taylor Store Reimagined To Help Heal

SCARSDALE, NY — White Plains Hospital just got a lot closer for many Southern Westchester residents.

White Plains Hospital announced that its newest White Plains Hospital Physician Associates location, at 750 White Plains Road in Scarsdale, has officially opened. On Monday, July 7, the facility launched its first two practices, Obstetrics & Gynecology and Orthopedics.

This marks the beginning of a phased opening of the new multi-specialty outpatient facility.

Located in the former Lord & Taylor building in the Vernon Hills Shopping Center, the 70,000-sq.-ft. facility, known as White Plains Hospital Physician Associates of Scarsdale, will ultimately house approximately 40 providers offering a range of specialties, imaging and diagnostic services.

"The opening of this new outpatient center, our 34th in the Hudson Valley, underscores our commitment to bring high-quality, comprehensive care close to home for our community," White Plains Hospital's Frances Bordoni explained. "By expanding access to a broad range of specialties in one convenient location, we're making it easier for patients and their families to get the care they need."

Additional medical services will be added in the coming months, according to the hospital group. The facility is expected to be fully operational by October. Burke Rehabilitation opened its latest outpatient practice at the location in April. Officials say the new nearby facilities highlight the comprehensive care model the Montefiore Health System has come to be known for.

White Plains Hospital is a member of the Montefiore Health System, serving as its tertiary hub of advanced care in the Hudson Valley. White Plains Hospital has outpatient medical facilities across Westchester, including other multi-specialty practices in Armonk, Hawthorne, Larchmont, New Rochelle, Rye Brook, Somers, Yonkers and Yorktown Heights (along with Scarsdale Medical Group locations in both Harrison and Scarsdale).
