Greenburgh Town Board appoints new Town Judge from Edgemont

We welcome our new Judge!

The Greenburgh Town Board has unanimously appointed Amy Foote as our new Town Justice. Judge Foote will assume her new duties on January 1, 2026.

Amy Foote, a 15-year resident of Edgemont, is currently Managing Principal of Foote Law Firm and has over 25 years of experience in criminal and civil litigation and investigations. She advises and has served as independent monitor for public- and private-sector clients on compliance and governance issues, commercial disputes, and complex investigations and litigation.

Amy began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in the New York County District Attorney's Office, appointed by the Hon. Robert M. Morgenthau. Amy is a former Partner at StoneTurn, a firm specializing in compliance, risk, and investigative matters. She was also previously associated with Boies, Schiller & Flexner, where she represented clients in securities, antitrust, and international governmental litigation and investigations.

Amy is a former board member of the New York Women’s Bar Association Foundation and Global Partnership for Afghanistan.

Amy has three daughters currently in the Edgemont School District and one step-daughter who is a graduate of the Ardsley School District.
