ID Thief Bilks $1K from Scarsdale Woman: Cops
Money was withdrawn from somewhere in Europe, police said.

A 44-year-old Scarsdale woman living on Elm Road had $994 swiped from her online bank account last Thursday, according to local cops.
The woman received an email from her bank noting her account was placed on hold due to "suspicious activity," police said. When checking her statements on the web, the woman learned someone in the Netherlands had withdrawn a considerable chunk of cash—and tried to several other times, as well, but was denied.
Police said the Scarsdale resident was issued a new debit card; police are treating the case as identiy theft in the second degree, a felony.
