Lawsuit Filed to Block Teardown of Scarsdale Home, Report
The four-bedroom, three-bathroom house is 3,408 square feet, and it is listed as a pending sale for $1,595,000.

Neighbors near a home on Greenacres Avenue in Scarsdale have filed a lawsuit to stop owners from tearing down the building and replacing it with a new house, according to The Journal News.
Edith Kallas and Joe Whatley want to tear down their home at 21 Greenacres Ave. to make room for a new, 6,200-square-foot home. But neighbors Joshua Weismer and Stephanie Weiser are objecting to the plan, in part due to its size, and have filed a lawsuit in court in White Plains to stop it, writes reporter Ernie Garcia of The Journal News.
“In our opinion the house the developer is proposing violates the front yard set-back,” attorney Joel Sachs told The Journal News. Sachs represents Weismer and Weiser. “Instead of the the being 30 feet away, it’s only 11 feet away from my clients’ property.”
