Loud Booms Rumble Through Scarsdale Neighborhood (VIDEO)

SCARSDALE, NY — Doorbell cameras in Scarsdale recorded two loud booms over the weekend. Video on the Neighbors app recorded the noises Saturday. No time was given, but it appeared to have happened at night. The neighbor wrote that the noise sounded like two gunshots.

Brendan Kellaher, a detective with the Scarsdale Police Department, told Patch patrol officers investigated the loud booms, canvassing the area and speaking with neighbors. They determined the noises were fireworks, but could not find where they were set off. There is no risk to public safety, he said. Furthermore, Scarsdale police are on the Neighbors app portal and responded to concerned residents.
