Scarsdale Dems Back Bramson for County Seat
New Rochelle mayor will face off against party colleagues in April 24 convention.

As the race for the county executive seat heats up, Scarsdale Dems have settled on their challenger.
Village Democrats are endorsing candidate and current New Rochelle mayor Noam Bramson in hopes of unseating current county executive and Republican Robert Astorino.
"The Committee's preference for, and support of Mayor Bramson, was clear and decisive," said Scarsdale democratic chair Alan Goldston.

"Our Committee knows these three fine public servants. Any would provide a welcome change from the reckless Astorino Administration," he added. "But we believe that Mayor Bramson is both best qualified to be County Executive, and best positioned to win in November."
An April 24 Democratic Convention will pit Bramson against fellow Dem challengers Bill Ryan and Ken Jenkins. Ryan is a sitting county legislator; Jenkins is the county legislature chair.
