Scarsdale Police Investigate Death Of Contractor On Birchall Road
SPD is continuing the investigation into the death of a CT contractor, who is believed to have suffered from an electrocution.

On August 29, 2012 at approximately 8:00 a.m., Scarsdale Police responded to a Birchall Road residence on a welfare check. A relative of a contractor who was working at the residence notified police that the contractor had not returned home from work yesterday.
Police responded to the residence and located the contractor who was deceased in the basement of the home. The contractor, who was working on electrical lines, was found in a confined area in the basement.

The victim, 47-year-old Michael Macol of Bethel, CT, man, was removed from
the scene by the Scarsdale Fire Department, who was assisted by a βTechnical Rescue Teamβ from the White Plains Fire Department.
The incident is being investigated by Scarsdale Police Department Investigations Section and the Westchester County Medical Examinerβs Office. A final determination from the Medical Examinerβs Office is pending, but initial findings indicate the victim suffered an electrocution.
