Scarsdale Residents Asked to Help in Search for Missing Woman

The daughter-in-law of a missing Eastchester woman is asking people in Scarsdale to help in the search. Kathryn Cotter says that her missing mother-in-law, Catherine, often goes to CVS and DeCicco’s in Scarsdale. She is asking anyone in Scarsdale who may have seen her to call police. Cotter was last seen Tuesday morning.

Today, Eastchester Police will be searching around the Leewood Drive area, next to the Bronx River Parkway, as they continue to look for 88-year-old Catherine "Kay" Cotter who went missing Tuesday. Police say someone may have spotted Cotter, who suffers from dementia, two hours after the latest sighting that they previously know about.

"We have somebody that we think had seen her between 8:30 and 9 a.m. in the area of the Bronx River Parkway by Leewood Drive," said Eastchester Police Chief Bonci. "We are also following up on new leads that we get in."

Chief Bonci says that police have been handing out missing person fliers. They have also been to every train station along the Harlem line, including Grand Central.

"We've reviewed the videos and so far we haven't come up with anything," said Chief Bonci.

Even though the closed circuit television feeds are not yielding any leads, police are hoping that today's search will help them find Cotter.

The Eastchester Police Department's Detective Division is asking for your help in its investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to call them at 914-961-3463.

Cotter was last seen wearing gray pants, a red sweater-blouse, tan casual shoes and a tan hat. Her outerwear may have been a gray sweater.
