Scarsdale Update: 1,844 Still Without Power
Today, 30% or 1,844 of 6,025 customers in the Village are without power, down from 2,982 yesterday. The State of Emergency is still in effect and will remain so until the upcoming storm is resolved.

The following is an update from Mayor Flisser:
Village officials continue to have daily conference calls with the Westchester County Office of Emergency Management and Con Edison. The Mayor has spoken with the Governorβs Office today and we remain in contact with County Officials concerning our situation.
Our persistent requests are for additional crews to cut power lines so Village crews may clear roadways. We are in direct contact with Con Ed to reinforce the severity of power outages and the necessity for more crews to be dispatched. There are 7 Con Ed restoration crews using 26 bucket trucks and working within the Village to restore power and 1 tree crew to cut live power lines and clear trees from roads currently blocked. These crews are working with Village crews to open the remaining streets still blocked by electrical power lines. 30% or 1,844 of 6,025 customers in the Village are without power, down from 2,982 yesterday. Con Ed reports the date of November 9 for full county-wide restoration.

Five roads are still closed all due down electrical power line; Innes Rd. at Palmer Rd., Cambridge Rd. at Rugby Rd., Wakefield Rd. at MacDonald, Bansom Rd at Myrtledale Rd., and Rock Creek Lane at Spruce Lane. Weather permitting, we are hoping to have all roads open today.
If your neighborhood has been restored, but you remain as a single house without power, please call Con Ed at 1-800-75-ConEd to report your outage. The Village will more information for single house outages soon. Β
A regional emergency shelter is at the Albert Leonard Middle School, 25 Gerard Lane, New Rochelle. The Scarsdale Public Library is available as a warming station with free coffee and movies in the Scott Room. Residents may charge their cell phones and other electronic devices. Library hours are 9 AM to 9 PM Monday - Friday. Information on emergency pet shelters is available by calling 211.

The Village expects another storm with minimal accumulation but with damaging winds from 7:00 p.m. today to 12:00 p.m. tomorrow. Village crews are working to prepare for the upcoming norβeaster by clearing debris and leaves from sensitive drainage areas.
The State of Emergency is still in effect and will remain so until the upcoming storm is resolved.
