Some Power Outages In Scarsdale Remain Today

ConEd said to expect outages to be repaired by 11:00 p.m. tonight.

After wild winds and rains whipped Scarsdale last night and early this morning, several residents were left in the dark.

Due to downed trees and wires, many Con Ed customers remain without power in Scarsdale.

As of 1:00 p.m. today, about 200 customers in Scarsdale still had no electricity, according to Con Edison. Those customers are expected to have power restored by 11:00 p.m. tonight.

Last night, a large tree fell onto power lines along Greenacres Ave., knocking out the power throughout the neighborhood.

The Scarsdale Fire Department responded to 20 calls related to the storm between yesterday afternoon and this morning, Fire Chief Thomas Cain told Patch.

Most the calls were "wires down and power loss related calls," Cain said.
