• Some Olive and Shandaken residents can receive $500 to help pay heating costs (hudsonvalleyone.com) — Shandaken residents struggling with heating bills can soon apply for a new $500 assistance grant through the Catskills Alliance for Housing & Preservation’s Warm Neighbors Fund, opening December 15. The resident-led nonprofit, which serves Olive and Shandaken, hopes to raise at least $20,000 to help lower-income households stay warm as energy costs continue to climb.
