2,500 Expected At National Night Out In Eastern Suffolk
The free event will have BBQ, ice cream, music from a deejay, games, a tug-o-war, face painting, and giveaways.

RIDGE, NY — The largest National Night Out in eastern Suffolk will unfold at Fireman’s Memorial Park in Ridge on Aug. 1.
The event, hosted by the Suffolk County Sheriff's office and the Town of Brookhaven, generally draws over 2,000 people. This year officials expect around 2,500.
It will run from 5 to 8 p.m.

It will include a deejay, games, and dozens of non-profit and government partners offering free giveaways. There will also be softball games between Suffolk corrections and deputies, as well as Association of Municipal Employees, and Brookhaven's unions.
There will be Bingo with prizes, BBQ from the Ridge Fire Department, a free ice cream, a tug-o-war, face painting, dunk tank, demonstrations and vehicle displays.
