Blaze Breaks Out At Camper On Mastic Property: Fire Department

Firefighters were called to the scene at around 11 p.m., the Mastic Fire Department says.

MASTIC, NY — Firefighters doused a fully-engulfed camper in Mastic last Sunday night, fire department officials said on their Facebook page.

Firefighters were called to the Veith Street property at around 11 p.m., and the blaze was knocked down and placed under control in an hour and half with help from Center Moriches Fire Department at the scene, and the Manorville Fire Department standing by at Mastic's headquarters, according to the department's post.

The Mastic Volunteer Community Ambulance also responded to the scene, the post said.

Arson detectives did not respond to the scene.
