Cat fatally Shot with BB Gun !! SPCA OFFERING $6k Reward!

Stella crawled home in agony!! The love animals have for their family is so immense! They should never be harmed.

If you live in the Sutherland Road/Westmoreland Road area of Hicksville near Willet Avenue School, please beware that there may be someone in the area shooting animals with a pellet gun. Over the long holiday weekend, a family cat, Stella, was shot and killed.
She did not return home Thursday night after being let out earlier that afternoon, which was highly unusual. The family searched for her over the weekend but couldn’t find her. Then, somehow, having been shot twice—once in the chest—she dragged herself home we believe early Sunday morning. This is the love animals hold for their families. Stella just wanted to be home. The poor thing was trying desperately to get home to the comfort of her Momma’s arms.
They took her to the vet as soon as they found her, but she died several hours later. They did not know she had been shot until the vet told them and, they were also told Unfortunately, Stella suffered.

If you have any information or know of anyone in the area who plays with a pellet gun, please call the SPCA.

Also, know that Long Island’s will not stand for this!! Please help us spread the word.
