Jeep Damaged By ATV, Dirt Bike Riders, Dirt Bike In Suffolk: Police

Multiple people punched and kicked the Jeep, which was traveling north on Sills Road, near Express Drive, last month, cops say.

YAPHANK, NY — A group of people riding ATVs and dirt bikes damaged a 2016 Jeep Cherokee in Yaphank about two weeks ago, Suffolk police said Thursday.

Multiple people riding ATVs and dirt bikes punched and kicked the Jeep, which was traveling north on Sills Road, near Express Drive South, on May 29 at around 5:35 p.m., according to police.

They were caught on the person’s dash cam video, police said.

Police released several frames of the video, showing four people riding on one ATV, as well as a second ATV with a single rider, and dirt bike with a single rider.

Some of the riders appear to have been masked or had their faces obscured by helmets in the attack.

The crime has been classified criminal mischief, according to a police crime alert.
