OCEAN Arts Presents 'Clue' At William Floyd High School
The "whodunit" murder-mystery romp takes the stage Nov. 19-20.
Press release from OCEAN Arts:
Nov. 16, 2021
OCEAN Arts is thrilled to announce their first non-musical production starring William Floyd students – Clue, a hysterical “whodunit” murder-mystery romp based on the board game and the 1985 film of the same name, will leave audiences captivated and in stitches. Clue comes to life (and death!) on Friday, November 19 and Saturday, November 20 at William Floyd High School.

With this stage production of Clue, spectators should be prepared for an evening of laughter and screams, murder and mayhem, often at the same time! The show takes place in an isolated mansion where six eccentric guests are gathered for a strange dinner party. When the host is murdered, they all become suspects.
The last time a traditional play was presented at William Floyd High School was November 2009, with the production of Ah, Wilderness featuring then junior Kyle Imperatore as 11-year-old Tommy. The recession hit the nation and our community hard the following year and although OCEAN Arts managed to keep the spring musical alive, the fall drama fell victim to circumstance.

Since taking on the role of artistic director for OCEAN Arts in 2016, Imperatore has been fighting to get a drama back on stage and he is “super excited” at this opportunity. “The students in Clue are just the cream of the crop, and many of them are students I've been working with for almost six years now, so this feels like the culmination of all of that education and hard work.”
Clue is an OCEAN Arts production, in partnership with the William Floyd School district, with support from the Community Library Friends of the Arts, Inc. The show is produced and costumed by Kathi Bertos; sets are being created by Chris Miranda; and sound and light responsibilities will be handled by Michael Cordaro, Garrett Rode and the William Floyd High School Sound & Light crew.
“I’m hoping that the students get the response from the community that they need for us to be able to continue to provide alternative programming like this, stuff that's different from the big musical shows that we do in the spring,” added Imperatore.
So WHO did it? WHERE? And HOW? Find out on November 19-20!
