Police Seeking Info On Stabbing In Mastic Beach

The person was taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in East Patchogue for treatment of their injuries, Suffolk police say.

MASTIC, NY — Suffolk police are asking anyone with information about a stabbing last week in Mastic Beach to reach out to investigators, a police spokesman said Tuesday.

The person was attacked and stabbed on Woodside Avenue at around 12:22 a.m. on Thursday, and then taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in East Patchogue for treatment of their injuries, according to police.

The crime has been classified second-degree assault, a felony, according to a police incident report.
