Search On For Driver Who Hit Scooter Rider, Fled Scene: Police
The young man who was hit sustained minor injuries, police say.

MASTIC BEACH, NY —Police are searching for a driver who hit someone on a scooter in Mastic Beach and fled the scene in August.
According to Suffolk County police, a 19-year-old riding a scooter was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Jefferson Drive and Neighborhood Road in Mastic Beach on August 26 at 11:23 p.m.
The driver fled eastbound on Neighborhood Road, police said. The scooter rider was transported to NYU Langone Hospital Suffolk in Patchogue for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
