- Caitlyn’s Vision invites the community on a walk to prevent childhood blindness. The event will bring awareness to the early intervention of visual issues in childhood to avoid future blindness. “A Walk In The Dark” will be held at the William Floyd High School Varsity Track on May 14 at 6:30 p.m. (Patch)
- Representatives from Long Island companies will be at the MMS Community Library on Thursday, May 12, at 10 a.m. to host a job fair. The event will feature job opportunities and applications. Participants are asked to dress to impress and bring a resume. (Patch)
- A Shirley woman was killed in a head-on collision on Terry Road, near Hauppauge Road. Carol Anne Faulhaber died at the scene. Detectives ask anyone with information on this accident to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452. (Patch)
