2. Smith Point Beach goers can celebrate a longer summer season this year! Lifeguards will be on post at their watch towers on weekends until Sept. 18. (MMSC Library)
3. Nearby Events: The Latino Council of Patchogue celebrates the 4th Annual Hispanic Heritage with a free event at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts. 4. Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson is launching a new free training program for Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs).
