- Hollywood actress Julia Roberts is ready to begin filming the Netflix movie "Leave the World Behind" in Riverhead. The movie portrays the story of two families who are forced together on a weekend that went wrong. (Patch)
- Mastics-Shirley Chamber of Commerce will host a special Easter trunk-and-treat drive-through on April 9 from 1 to 3 p.m. A prize will be granted to the best-decorated trunk. If you would like to participate, contact April Coppola at 631-241-9804. (MSCofC)

- Nearby News: Shots were fired at the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City on Wednesday around 6:30 p.m. A man and woman ran back inside the mall after being shot at by two male suspects. The incident happened on the second floor of the parking garage. Police confirmed no injuries were reported but continue to search for all involved in the shooting. (News12)
