1. Help to save lives by donating blood in memory of Ann Olsen. The blood drive will be held at the Mastic Beach Ambulance House at 343 Main St, in Mastic Beach, on Sunday, Aug. 21, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. (Mastic Ambulance)
2. The MMS Community Library will host a Sunset Beach Hike with a marine biologist. The group will meet at the Fire Island Visitor Center to explore the Ecosystem with an Atlantic Conservation Society biologist. (Patch)
3. Nearby News: West Babylon resident, Treyvius Tunstall, was arrested after attacking DICK'S Sporting Goods employees with a machete.
