  1. Joseph Garcia, from Port Jefferson, was sentenced to 40 years in prison for shooting Shirley resident David Bliss in broad daylight during an argument on March 24, 2021. Surveillance videos showed Garcia laughing after committing the crime. (Port Jefferson Patch)
  2. Creative Writer's Workshop has its registration open for the class scheduled for Tuesday, May 12 at 2 p.m. at the MMS Community Library. Instructor Anne Kelly-Edmunds will create a friendly and creative environment as she instructs writers. (MMSCL)
