Long Island's Smith Point County Park To Remain Open Two Weekends After Labor Day

SHIRLEY, NY — It's not exactly an endless summer, but it's a start.

Smith Point County Park in Shirley will remain open for two more weekends, extending the summer season until Sept. 15, Suffolk County Executive Ed Romaine said.

Lifeguards will be on duty on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and parking fees will be collected from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
