Suffolk Football Champs, William Floyd Varsity, Honored By Brookhaven

It is the 14th time that team has won the title for Division 1.

FARMINGVILLE, NY — Suffolk County Division 1 football champs, William Floyd High School's “Colonials” varsity team and their coaches were recognized Tuesday at Brookhaven Town's board meeting.

Supervisor-elect and William Floyd High School graduate, Councilman Dan Panico, honored the players and coaches for beating Sachem North's squad 26-9 at Stony Brook University’s Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium under the guidance of head coach, Paul Longo.

It was the 14th time that team won the title.
