MASTIC BEACH, NY — Suffolk police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the driver of a vehicle they say was involved in a hit-and-run crash in Mastic Beach earlier this year.

A 40-year old female pedestrian was hit by a vehicle that fled the scene at the corner of Neighborhood Road and Flower Road on Jan. 1 around 1:45 a.m., police said.

The woman was transported with injuries to a hospital, police said. The vehicle sustained front-end damage and one of the rearview mirrors is also believed to have been damaged, police said. Police are seeking to identify the driver and are also looking for video surveillance and witnesses of the crash.
