Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?
Ms. Schweers goes above and beyond to create a safe, caring, empowering, fun learning environment for all her students. She believes strongly about home and school partnerships. And, personally, it is because of her passion and commitment to see students thrive, we have seen so much growth in our son. If you saw first-day photos and last day photos of school, your heart would explode. Our son went from a very quiet, somewhat timid boy to a confident, flourishing kid. Kayla was able to see our son's gifts and allow them to blossom. And every parent I know can attest to that.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?
Kayla Schweers has such a huge heart that sees the beauty and goodness in people. Her laughter, smile, and joy are infectious. She makes you feel at home and always has a listening ear. Everyone loves Ms. Schweers.
