Tragic Work Accident Claims Local Businessman's Life
Rallying Together to Support His Grieving Family

The Mastic and Shirley community is witnessing a heart-wrenching situation that deeply affects our own. Juan Castro, the owner of the Castro Brothers company, tragically lost his life in a work-related accident, leaving behind a grieving family and distressed staff. As we collectively mourn this loss, the community has an opportunity to come together and show their support during this difficult time.
Juan Castro was more than just a dedicated business owner; he was a cherished member of our community. His untimely death has left a void in our hearts and in the lives of his loved ones, including a 17-year-old child, a partner, and an unborn baby. As we grapple with this loss, our thoughts and concerns are also drawn towards the future well-being of his family.
Complicating the situation further, the company's insurance unfortunately does not cover funeral expenses, and the family is faced with the daunting task of transporting Juan's body back to Ecuador, his birthplace. This is a financial burden that they should not have to bear alone during their time of grief.
