Man Stabbed in Hudson River Park Near Pier 34: NYPD
Police say a man was stabbed near West Street and Canal Street on Wednesday afternoon.
SOHO, NY — A person was stabbed in the middle of the afternoon on Wednesday in Hudson River Park, according to a police spokesman.
The man was stabbed at 1:38 p.m. near West Street and Canal Street by another man, who then fled the scene, police said. The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital in serious condition, according to the FDNY. A police spokesperson said he was "not likely to die."
The stabbing occurred near Pier 34, which is formed by vents directly over the Holland Tunnel, in Hudson River Park.
