Person Hit By Subway Train At Canal Street Station, Police Say

A person was hit by a train at the Canal Street subway station on Friday morning, police said.

SOHO, NY — A person was hit by a subway train at a SoHo station on Friday morning, authorities said.

The person was struck at the Canal Street station on Friday sometime after 11 a.m. Police did not immediately have information on the person's condition or how the person came to be on the tracks, an NYPD spokeswoman told Patch.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority confirmed in a tweet that someone had been hit at the SoHo station.
