Police Continue Hunt For SoHo Subway Slasher

Authorities say they are still searching for the man who cut someone in a SoHo subway station on Tuesday.

SOHO, NY — Police say they are still searching for the man who allegedly cut a complete stranger after the two bumped into each other on subway stairs.

The man, who police have not identified, attacked the stranger on Tuesday evening after the two ran into each other and began arguing, police said.

Authorities say the slasher attacked a 44-year-old man as he was walking down the stairs of the Canal Street subway station at about 4:45 p.m. The 44-year-old bumped into the slasher and the two men began arguing before the man cut the 44-year-old on the side of his face and his wrist, according to authorities. The 44-year-old was transported to the hospital for treatment. The attacker ran from the subway and hasn't yet been located, police said.

Police released surveillance footage of the suspected slasher on Wednesday, and are asking for the public's help identifying him.
