SoHo Knifeman Who Attacked Women In Subway Arrested, Police Say
Police have arrested a man they say robbed two women at knifepoint inside the Canal Street subway station.

SOHO, NY — A knifeman who attacked two women in a SoHo subway station has been arrested, police said.
Kevin Williams was found Thursday after police circulated surveillance photos and videos of him. The Randalls Island resident was charged with robbery and illegally possessing a weapon, prosecutors said Friday. (Want more local news? Subscribe here for free breaking newsletters from Patch.)
Williams, 34, is accused of grabbing a 50-year-old woman from behind at Spring Street station on June 13 before covering her mouth and nose with a cloth, police said. Williams threatened her with a knife and stole $70 in cash before fleeing the station, according to the NYPD.

Days later on June 17, Williams allegedly robbed another woman inside the station. He grabbed the 49-year-old from behind and used a white cloth to cover her mouth and nose, police said. He pulled out a knife and stole $75 in cash from her purse, according to authorities.
Williams remains in jail on a $100,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond, according to jail records. Patch was not immediately able to contact Williams' attorney.
