2 Hospitalized After 1-Car Crash On I-84
New York State police said the Connecticut driver lost control when another car moved into his lane.
SOUTHEAST, NY — A crash on Interstate 84 at 1:43 a.m. Saturday sent two people to the hospital, New York State police said.
Yorman Hernandez-Alcala, 29, of Bristol, CT, was eastbound on I-84 in the right lane when a car in the left lane moved over, causing him to lose control, drive off the roadway and overturn in an embankment, police said.
Hernandez-Alcala and his passenger, Erika Perez, 22, of Waterbury, CT, were both ejected from the vehicle.

He was treated for injuries at the scene and transported to Danbury Hospital for further evaluation. Perez was treated for injuries at the scene and transported by helicopter to Westchester Medical Center for further evaluation.
Police did not have an update Monday on their conditions.
