2 Kids In Vehicle As CT Driver Arrested On Felony DWI Charge In Putnam County: NYSP
The Danbury man was found to have a BAC of 0.09 percent, after being arrested in Southeast, according to New York State troopers.

SOUTHEAST, NY — A Connecticut man was arrested in Putnam County for potentially putting the lives of two children at risk, according to state police.
New York State Police say that on Friday, around 11:27 p.m., a trooper from the Brewster barracks stopped a vehicle driving east on I-84, in the Town of Southeast, for traffic violations.
While speaking with the driver, 36-year-old Irving A. Alvarez Godoy, of Danbury, the trooper noticed signs of intoxication, according to police.

The trooper said two children, a 5-year-old and a 10-year-old, were also in the vehicle at the time of the stop.
Alvarez Godoy was arrested and taken for processing, where his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was found to be 0.09 percent, police said.

State police said the children were turned over to a sober party.
Alvarez Godoy was charged with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child passenger less than 16; misdemeanor driving while intoxicated; and several vehicle/traffic violations.
He was released with traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Southeast Court on November 3.
