31-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Deadly Putnam County Motorcycle Crash

Police say he was riding a 2000 Kawasaki motorcycle at high speed when he lost control for unknown reasons.

PUTNAM VALLEY, NY — Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal Hudson Valley motorcycle crash.

New York State Police say that troopers from Stormville responded to reports of a serious motorcycle crash on Friday, around 7:10 p.m., in the town of Putnam Valley.

A preliminary investigation found that 31-year-old Darren W. Teti, of Levittown, was riding a 2000 Kawasaki motorcycle southbound at a high rate of speed when he lost control.

Teti was taken by EMS to Hudson Valley Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

State police say the investigation remains ongoing.
