Bravo! Brewster Students Recognized For Excellence In Italian

BREWSTER, NY — A special group of Brewster students will soon have the world at their feet — and they already speak the language.

Congratulations to Brewster High School junior Giana Kusterer, senior Katelyn Conticchio, senior Ryan Martin and Wells Middle School 8th grader Delihla Bekker for having been recognized for their excellence in the Italian language as well as senior Giselle Micolta who was awarded a $500 scholarship by Ace Endico for her excellence in the language.

The students were all recognized at the recent Italian Heritage Month Proclamation Ceremony held last week at Somers Middle School and organized by the Westchester Coalition of Italian American Organizations for which teachers Antonio Franzè and Isabella Di Marco are both executive board members.

BHS Principal Nicole Horler was thereafter gifted the official NYC Italian Heritage Culture Committee sponsored poster in celebration of the 500 years of Giovanni Verrazzano to thank her for her constant support of the Italian language at Brewster High School.
