A 44-year-old Brewster man was briefly trapped beneath a Jeep he was working on at Brewster Service Station Monday morning.
"The car shifted and came down but fortunately it did not land on him," Brewster Service Station owner Steve Presti said of the incident, which involved a 1995 Jeep Wrangler. "We got a floor jack and lifted it."
The man, who fell and hit head when the vehicle moved, was trapped for "just for a few seconds," Presti said.
"He was very very lucky," Presti told Patch. "...The bottom line is nobody was hurt and that's good."
Brewster Police responded to the scene when the report of someone being pinned under a vehicle came in, at about 11:35 a.m. A Brewster Fire Department ambulance transported the man, who was conscious throughout the ordeal, to Danbury Hospital in Connecticut.
