Brewster Schools Improve Security With $100K State Grant
The re-keying of the high school allows for crucial time-saving measures in emergency situations, officials said.

BREWSTER, NY — The Brewster school district used a $100,000 state grant for security upgrades including re-keying doors districtwide. State Sen. Pete Harckham visited Brewster High School Tuesday to see the impact firsthand.
The Community Resilience, Economic Sustainability & Technology grant was specially useful at Brewster High school, said Michelle Gosh, Ed.D. Deputy Superintendent.
“The re-keying of our high school allows for crucial time-saving measures for first responders, staff, and students in emergency situations," she said. "It also allows for more efficiency in non-emergency settings."
