CARMEL, NY — ShopRite's annual Veterans Fundraising Campaign at 36 stores in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania raised a total of $700,966 to benefit local veterans organizations, and the Carmel store was the top fundraiser.
“We’re proud to announce that our annual campaign raised more than $700,000 to benefit local veterans and their families,” said Steve Savas, president, ShopRite Supermarkets, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wakefern Food Corp. “During this season of giving we would like to extend a sincere thank you to our generous customers, associates and vendors who give back each year to support our veterans campaign. This initiative is close to our hearts and it’s our way to recognize the important sacrifices our veterans have made.”
The ShopRite stores operated by SRS collected donations and organized fundraising events including raffles, barbecues, bingo events and more, with all proceeds from each event directly benefitting veterans organizations.
