The head-on collision in Southeast involved a tractor-trailer.

SOUTHEAST, NY — A Connecticut woman driving west in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 in Putnam County died in a collision Sunday involving her Subaru and a tractor-trailer, New York State police reported.

Troopers were dispatched from the Brewster barracks at about 4 a.m. after state police received word of a crash involving a wrong-way driver.

Their preliminary findings suggested Alexandra R. Quinn, 30, of Ridgefield, was westbound in a 2023 Cross Trek when she struck an eastbound 2024 Volvo tractor-trailer head-on, police said.
