DOT To Close Taconic Parkway In Putnam Over 2 Nights For Construction

PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — The Taconic State Parkway will be closed in both directions near State Route 301 in Kent between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. on Thursday and Friday.

The work at Exit 31 will take place Jan. 4 and again Jan. 5, to facilitate construction work, weather permitting.

There will be posted detours to State Route 301 as an alternate, New York State Department of Transportation officials said.

Slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of your driver's license.
