An Evening of Beer Tasting

Beer is responsible for civilization. Agriculture may have
started more as a means of ensuring easy access to the ingredients for beer than for any other reason. Beer is possibly the oldest beverage invented by humanity and is the third most consumed, after water and tea.

If you want to learn more about the many different types of beer, come to "An Evening of Beer Tasting," on Saturday, April 20, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 26 Prospect Street, Brewster, NY. The annual event, a fundraiser for the church, will start at 7 p.m.

This year's theme is East Coast versus West Coast, comparing one beer from the East Coast to a similar style beer from the West Coast. The event also features foods that match well to the beers being sampled and raffles of gift baskets. Nonalcoholic beverages will be available.

Beer aficionado Paul McGann of Brewster will again be the
host for the evening.
