Durante Leads Jonke In GOP Contest For Southeast Town Supervisor

There were also contests for town supervisor in Carmel and Patterson, and for council members in all three towns.

PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — The polls closed at 9 p.m. for Putnam County residents who are registered with the Republican Party and live in Carmel, Patterson or Southeast.

In the Republican primaries in Southeast, with all districts reporting, Nicholas Durante had a strong lead over Paul Jonke in the contest for town supervisor, and incumbent John O'Connor trailed two newcomers in the contest for town council, according to unofficial results from the Putnam County Board of Elections.
