Sunshine Headed To The HV: Guide To Apple Picking In 2023
Celebrate the crisp days of fall with crisp and sweet apples you pick yourself.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The rain will move out Saturday afternoon, and the rest of the weekend will be sunny — so take advantage of a clear, crisp day and head to one of the region's orchard for a bushel or two of the year's finest apples.
Hudson Valley fruit farms were hit with a deep freeze May 18 that severely damaged the crops. Still, most of these "pick your own" orchards have lots to offer, including apples and pumpkins, a chance to pick up other seasonal vegetables, check out the gift shop, and enjoy some family-style events and activities.
Farmers remind pick-your-own folks that many people are enjoying their orchards, so don't touch what you don’t intend to buy, and don’t eat in the fields.
