Judicial Experts to Address Drug Epidemic

Local speakers will discuss "Drug Crisis in Our Backyard"

The county sheriff, district attorney, and a county judge will speak at an upcoming forum on the drug epidemic in Putnam County.

The forum, "The Drug Epidemic: A Judicial Perspective," will be held on Thursday, April 14, at 7 p.m. at the Donald B. Smith Training Center in Carmel. Sheriff Donald B. Smith, District Attorney Robert Tendy, and the Honorable James F. Reitz will speak. They will discuss changing trends in drug-related prosecutions and the economic and social impact of treatment courts versus prison.
