
Gertrude Napolitano, 95, of Brewster, died Friday at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel.
Mrs. Napolitano was born Oct. 19, 1917 in Orange, Mass. to William and Marion (George) Dresser.
On July 31, 1939 Gertrude married Pasquale Saverino Napolitano in Turners Falls, Mass. Mr. Napolitano died Jan. 10, 2006.

At age 50, Mrs. Napolitano earned her bachelor's degree in accounting from New York University and, at age 55, her master's in taxation and finance from Iona College in New Rochelle. She then worked as an accountant for many years, fulfilling her lifelong dream.
Mrs. Napolitano enjoyed sewing and needlework as well as travel and golf. She is survived by two children: Pasquale Napolitano Jr. (Patrick)and his wife Carol of Newtown, CT and Filomena DiLallo (Mena) and her husband Al of Brewster; four brothers: Richard, Carl and Jo, Roger and Wanda, and Donald and Deanne Dresser; a sister, Jane, and Richard Kimbel; and sixg randchildren: Debbi, Keith, Lisa, Tim, Tara and Chris; and four great-grandchildren: Will, Andie, Rafael and Leah.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 2 at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church on Prospect Street in Brewster. Interment will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at at Beecher Funeral Home on Putnam Avenue in Brewster (845-279-3615).
