Obituary: Anthony N. Rossi Jr., 68, of Holmes

Anthony N. Rossi Jr., 68, of Holmes, NY, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023, in Holmes, NY. Anthony was born on January 27, 1955, in Yonkers, NY. He was the beloved son of the late Anthony and Ruth (Sorenson) Rossi. Anthony is survived by his sister Maria Maston and her husband Phil of Holmes, NY, and brothers Peter Rossi and his wife Antoinette of Brewster, NY, Fred Rossi of Southbury, CT, and Paul Rossi of Spring Hill, FL. Anthony is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Anthony held various jobs that he loved throughout the years such as Country Epicure and the diner in Orange County. Anthony had a passion and talent for drawing and painting with watercolors. If he wasn’t completing his latest piece of art, you could find him listening to his favorite musicians The Moody Blues and Judy Collins. Anthony loved going out to dinner with his family. He was a lover of dogs, especially Bootsy. Most importantly, Anthony had an indescribable love for his family. He was a gentle, innocent soul with a heart of gold. He would never say no and always took care of others. When you met him, there was no choice but to fall in love with him. He will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 11:00 AM at United Methodist Church in Holmes, followed by the interment in St. Lawrence O'Toole Cemetery. After completion at the cemetery, the family would like to invite loved ones to a celebration of Anthony’s life at the Rossi Residence.
