Police Identify 82-Year-Old Woman Killed In Head-On Crash
Investigators believe her southbound Honda CRV crossed the double yellow line and struck a northbound Isuzu box truck.
SOUTHEAST, NY — Officials have identified the woman killed in a crash on Monday in Putnam County as an 82-year-old from Massachusetts.
Putnam County Sheriff Kevin J. McConville said the fatal collision in the Town of Southeast happened at approximately 8:30 a.m. Deputies were dispatched to John Simpson Road for the serious head-on motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles.
Investigators believe that the driver of a Honda CRV which was southbound on John Simpson Road crossed over the double yellow line and struck an Isuzu box truck which was northbound.

The driver of the Honda, Anna Catullo of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Isuzu, Xavier Quindetenempaguy, 45, of Carmel was taken by Empress ambulance to Danbury Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit was called in to assist the Putnam Sheriff's Office with the investigation and the Brewster Fire Department assisted at the scene with the accident and the road closure. The roadway remained closed between Root Ave. and Route 6 while the accident was investigated and reopened shortly before noon, according to officials.
